Mambo vipi Marafiki? (How are things my fiends?)

DNLee in MFG

I know it?s been a while but I needed a little time to recuperate, rest and reset my clock.? Readjusting to home has taken more time than I thought I would have needed.? Physiologically, it has been a roller coaster: my belly, my appetite, my sleep. It as all been quite a ride and I?m still not 100%, but I am back in the saddle.? I?ve been coming into the University to get my paperwork done. It is still going on with more things being added to my queue each day. Bu hey, that?s what being a post-doc is all about right?

One of my Mark-Recapture Subjects from this field season

I really enjoyed the field work and I almost miss it. Just a little.? I only regret not getting a handle on the physical development measures and tracking changes in female reproductive anatomy sooner.? I really think I can crack the mystery of this animal?s mating physiology.? But I?ll definitely be ready for my return trip. I the meantime, I?m writing up my reports and writing up a paper on what data I do have.

Fingers crossed that the Journal Editors will think it is enough.
